Conversations begin, laughter is shared, friendships grow, and people who may have walked through the same doors for years suddenly get to know one another in a new way.  At St. Peter’s, we believe these moments are an important part of living our faith. Sometimes fellowship is a celebration. Sometimes it is a comforting meal shared with someone who needs encouragement. Sometimes it is a conversation with a new face or a familiar smile across the table. Whatever the occasion, these moments remind us that church is more than a place we worship - it is a community where we belong.

Our Fellowship Ministry Team helps create those moments of connection, making St. Peter’s a place where people are welcomed, relationships are strengthened, and God’s love is experienced through one another.

  We create fellowship opportunities through receptions, luncheons, suppers and special events that bring people together and strengthen our church family.
  
  
• Prepare to Welcome
  We keep our kitchen, equipment and supplies ready so St. Peter’s can open its doors and serve others whenever the opportunity arises.
  
  
• Provide & Plan
  We purchase and maintain food and provisions while preparing a thoughtful annual budget that makes responsible use of the church’s resources.
  
  
• Bring People Together
  ​We invite members of the congregation to share their time and talents, recruiting volunteers whenever an event needs extra hands.

Whether you have an hour to give, enjoy preparing food, or simply want to lend a hand, there are several ways to support our Fellowship Ministry:

• Prepare or serve food at a reception, luncheon, supper or special event.
• Bring a dish or dessert to share with others.
• Help with setup and cleanup before or after a gathering.
• Assist with supplies and inventory to help keep our kitchen ready.
• Help with shopping for food and other provisions.

Jeannette Latzo, Fellowship Ministry Team Leader
Jeanette has always appreciated what happens when people take time to simply be with one another. For her, some of the best church memories aren't necessarily made during a service—they happen afterward, when people linger, catch up with an old friend, meet someone new or share a few stories over coffee and a meal.

That is what led Jeanette to the Fellowship Ministry. She sees it as an opportunity to create the kind of experiences that people remember long after the tables have been cleared.
